Massachusetts offers Social Media Toolkits
Last Sunday we meet Brad Blake, Director of New Media and Online Strategy, for the Office of the Governor of Massachusetts at the monthly Boston Media Makers meeting. In his current position he directs the social media produced for the Governor’s office. He shared with the group an effort by the state to help the general public get involved with social media by producing social media toolkits. The link is quite long, so if you are interested just click on the picture to the right or here.
This is a very interesting effort by the state and it just shows to us how far social media has come for even the government to produce help for consumers in this area. Currently there are 3 kits:
The Blogging Toolkit includes
- Introduction and Preliminary Steps
- Policy and Security Considerations
- Best Practices
- Enterprise Branding
- Blog Preparation Checklist
The Twitter Toolkit includes:
- Introduction and Preliminary Steps
- Policy and Security Considerations
- Best Practices
- Enterprise Branding
The Legal Guidance Toolkit is a word document that you can download.
