My daughter and I were having coffee at Starbucks and reminiscing about ten years ago when we lived together and both wrote a lot of materials to help nonprofits raise money to achieve their missions. Whether it was a lengthy grant proposal or a two page annual fund letter, neither of us would ever send the piece out unless the other had first edited it for spelling, grammar and word usage. We often would go even further and comment on the content, suggest changes, and generally improve the document. [...]
