This Saturday and Sunday, August 7th & 8th, the Town of Scituate celebrates Scituate Heritage Days. This annual festival features live music, entertainment, artisan crafts, kid’s activities and historical site visits around Scituate Harbour, one of the most picturesque seaside communities on the south shore. The official ceremonies start at 9am on Saturday, 4 o’clock on Friday is the beginning of “First Friday Night” with sidewalk sales beginning throughout the Harbor and continuing through Sunday. In addition to the many vendors at Heritage Days, Scituate Harbor is home to many shops, businesses and restaurants. The live music starts at 5pm with Matt Browne on the patio at the Inn at Scituate Harbor. Stop by for the traditional Pig Roast at 4pm or take your kids to the Children’s Art Workshop Tent sponsored by the Scituate Art Association from 10 am. There will be plenty of activity for your entire family, stop by and take some pictures to upload to facebook!
This wonderful festival is run by the Scituate Chamber of Commerce. There mission is to promote businesses and professional services, and to support activities beneficial to the Town of Scituate.
