Are you going to serve?
Monday January 18th, 2010 is the National Day of Service. There are several ways that you can serve. You can give employees time to serve, provide financial or in kind support such as product donations, and raise awareness about the day and the opportunities to serve. However you participate, you are honoring Dr. King’s life and legacy and helping further his dream by making a difference in your community.
This Monday would be a great time to make a donation to your favorite charity, or volunteer some of your time to a local organization. How about a charity event. If you live in the Boston area you could go to the Art BeCAUSE “The Art of Music” Benefit in Milford. If you would like to volunteer some time and don’t know where to go, you can follow this link to the Serve.gov website and find local places to serve.
