Changing your Brand

Co-author of Twitter for Dummies, Leslie Poston, recently changed her twitter handle (name) from @geechee_girl to @leslie.  She has a short post and video on her Uptown Uncorked blog.  Her reason for changing is simple – when she originally signed up her name was already taken.  In the video she talks about why the change, how it affected her personal brand, can she help you change your handle (no), and how she decided to use @geechee_girl to begin with.

We just think that it is interesting that one of the leading authorities on twitter decided to change her name.

Twitter is really a good way in keeping yourself updated with the day to day activities of your friends and families members. I update my Twitter and personal blog daily.

I know you from Twitter for Dummies. I haven’t quite finished the book yet, but I haven’t seen anything quite like a recent Twitter promotion we ran to benefit to the CT Food Bank. Read more here…
